So, um... Fan Fic... Oh hai, Lucanis!

So I am old enough,::cough:: to have read some original Spock/Kirk fanfic back when we printed this shit out and published it in comb-bound booklets at Kinkos. Discovering Ao3 was kind of mind-bending for me. To this day, I struggle because most of my stuff is original work, or (like Jeremiah and The Unholy) is only tangentially related to some of the ideas specific works foster in me. I WISH there were something like Ao3 for original works (and if there is, dear lord, please share!)

Still, I played a little game known as Dragon Age: The Veilguard and romanced a certain broody Crow assassin. All I could think after it was done was: Damn, I LOVE this game, but really? That’s all I get from Lucanis?? So, I set about to write the romance I WANTED but didn’t get out of the game.

I have a friend I met on another game, Palia, Spiteful Heart, to thank for introducing me to a lovely group of folks on the Lucanismancers Discord, who gave me the support and bravery to post my fic. It’s had some modest appreciation. Might not be Manacled, but hey, I’m okay with that. Some people who like the game have really enjoyed it, and that feels fucking awesome!
