Mae, 40, was born in Miami, FL, and runs a modestly successful blog/influencer site called Bookish Babe. She is introverted and has anxieties, but is very warm and connected with her close friends. She's a voracious reader and loves cycling. She is very unsure about that Nick fellow.

Renny, 35, works in marketing for a cruise line but hates cruising. He likes to say he has a resting ennui face. He plays it cool, but he has a bit of a temper. He's fiercely loyal to his friends, especially his best friend, Mae. He serves looks and carefully crafts his appearance. He finds Arden Morgan fascinating, but hey, he doesn't do dating. No, really.

Arden is 46 and Briar's big brother. He was the COO of her previous business, Bella's Closet, and still works for them as a consultant. He's quiet, kind, and deeply loyal to his sister and close friends. He spent the last couple of years a little heartsore after a very difficult divorce. However, Arden suddenly finds himself constantly thinking about a particular fiery young man he recently met on an outing to get to know the woman his friend Nick is enamored with.

Jeremiah is known as a 'Bot' form of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). Yeah, he's a robot. He also doesn't really have a face or certain 'equipment.' But he's profoundly emotional and creative. He writes songs and plays the mandolin, guitar, and banjo. Since the 'asset' and previous spook for the other side, Elle, came into his life, he has been learning a LOT of new things about himself. It's going to be a wild ride, Jem.

But it's not until Elle, the spy from the other side who is turned to their cause joins them that things get really interesting.
